An epitaph song for Piola, called "Pi", an elderly Bouv mix that the club rescued in April of 2012 and whom I fostered for the next 17 months until her health failed suddenly and drastically (and somewhat mysteriously) and I had to make that decision we all dread. She was euthanized in September of 2013.
The name "Piola" was given by the rescue buddy who actually bailed her out of the shelter where her owners had dumped her at age 11 years. "Piola" means "someone smart, something cool". I shortened it to "Pi" so I could joke that an 11 year old dog "could have another 3..14 years left to live".
