A song about Tracking competition, especially the nervousness preceeding a T.D.X. (Tracking Dog Excellent) test. There is no exhileration as high as passing a TDX: but, since most failures are due to the handler rather than the dog, there are few dispairs as deep as those of failure.
OH, WHAT A FINE TRACKING MORNING !(to tune of "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning" )by Pam Green , © 1990There's a blanket of fog on the meadow, Oh, what a fine tracking morning ! All the cattle are standing like statues, Oh, what a fine tracking morning ! It's been raining for nearly a fortnight, Oh, what a fine tracking morning ! All the dewdrops are sparkling like diamonds, Oh, what a fine tracking morning! in honor of Chelsea de Caelichyth, TDX (and other titles) Xterminator van de Vuilvoet, TDX (and other titles) |
