It's Halloween today. Pixel's costume is the Wolf in Sheep's Clothing. As a true herding dog that is what she is : a wolf in dog's clothing , trying to seem to be in non-predatory mode so the sheep don't get into a panic, but merely move enough to maintain a safe distance. My herding teacher used to dress her Kelpie, Streak, up in a sheepsuit, but the sheep could still tell that she was really a herding dog and they moved off of her just as much. The real dogs in sheep's clothing and ovine personality are the Livestock Guardian Breeds such as Great Pyranees , Kuvaz, Anatolian Shepherd, Akbash, Shar Plaintz, Maramma, and other breeds which when reared with sheep from early puppyhood, become part of the flock and protect it from predators, including protecting it against the herding dogs.
Every dog is a wolf in dog's clothing, just as we humans are chimps in people clothing.
