I Can Resist Everything Except Temptation

I did this drawing in art class in 1980 in response to an assignment to do a mythological theme. So here is my version of the fzmous Garden of Eden scene. The Tree of Knowledge offeres many different kinds of knowledge. Adam is fully complicit in the harvesting of the Apple. And the Snake is there too.

Eve should be honored as the very first scientist, seeking knowledge despite the potential costs.
 
I'd intended to add color, and will do a color version some day. I'd started a large acrylic on canvas version, but never got further than sketching in the under-painting.
