SOME ENCHANTED MORNING

(to tune of "Some Enchanted Evening" )

by Pam Green , © 1990

Some enchanted morning, you will meet a puppy,
Enchanting Bouvie puppy , in someone's living room;
And somehow you'll know that this is the one !
Who can know the reasons, who can tell you why?
Fools ask no questions, breeders have to try !

Once you have found him, never let him go !
Once you have found her, never let her go !

Some unchanted morning, you will find a puddle
Or, worse yet, something squishy, upon your bedroom floor ;
And somehow you'll know it came from your pup !
You ignored the schedule, you woke up too late;
Clean it up quickly, next time use the crate !

Some unchanted evening, you will find your sofa,
The remnants of your sofa, throughout your living room;
And somehow you'll know your puppy is bored !
You've slacked off on training and on excercise;
Maybe it was raining, next time be more wise !

Some enchanted weekend, you will earn your C.D.,
Scoring one-seventy., out in the blaze of noon;
And somehow you'll know it's all been worthwhile !
Now you' are the trainer of a well-trained pet ;
You think that you're an expert, but you're not one yet !

Who can know the reasons ,who can tell you why ?
Fools ask no questions, trainers have to try !

Once you have found him , never let him go !
Once you have found her , never let her go !
Or all through your life, you'll live on alone.
