This painting is based on a pencil and crayon sketch I did in 1980 or 1981 of a friend and his Basenji dog curled up asleep on the sofa. I recently scanned it in and then retouched it in Photoshop using a Wacom digitizing tablet. This is my first efforts at doing artwork with this program and equipment, and I'm very pleased with the results : the colors glow and the affection between man and dog are so evident.
