I did this one at the same era as I did the portraits of Sunny. Oil pastels lend themselves to some fairly wild color effects, especially when done on a dark colored paper. Although it was not intentional at the time, I now notice that the girl's skin tones range from Caucasian pink to African-American burnt sienna : the ultimate integration.
