This is what all too many Bouvier look like when found at the Pound : totally matted and filthy , with the dog underneath being almost undiscernable. A dog in this condition will have to be shaved down completely. One has to hope that there will not be horrible sores or other injuries under the coat.
This particular dog is Orpheus also called "Orf" who proved to be an exceptionally kind dog and, incidentally , good-looking. He was treasured for the remainder of his life by his adopters, an older couple, who say he is the best behaved dog of all the many Bouvier they have lived with.
