This is a photo of my Bouvier , Bones, as a young dog, probably about a year old, learning to make a really good leg bite. This is training for practical protection work and more specifically for competition in French Ring Sport. Notice that the decoy, also called the "bad guy" , is wearing a protective suit : he will feel the strength of the bite, but he won't get injured. Notice that the handler (me) is keeping tension on the leash , which makes the dog commit more vigourously. Notice that the decoy may be about to get yanked off his feet to land on his derriere. A very nice bite !
