A clipped down brindle Bouvier whom the Pound thought was a terrier.
This is "Lannie" (Lagniappe) who was turned in to a shelter when her owner became drastically ill. In spite of the fact that she was turned in with her registration papers which proclaimed her to be a Bouvier, because of her clippered coat, brindle color, natural ears, and small (for a Bouv) size, the shelter marked her in as a "terrier". She was there for over a month when finally the shelter director took a look at her papers and phoned Bouvier Rescue. I came and got her and was given contact information for her owner. Owner was still in hospital, and someone else answered and was able to give me some information. I suspect the owner later died, as later contact efforts went unanswered. Lannie proved to be an alert and fun dog, with a liking for retrieving anything that could be carried and a special passion for balls. I placed her just before Christmas and when I took her to her adopter's home I made sure that the tree and anything resembling a ball was totally out of her reach. Her adopter later reported that they soon taught each other the game of him hiding a tennis ball and her finding it.
