Godiva gallops,  chestnut stallion,  Basenji dog.

 
The original pencil sketch of horse and rider arose out of a bunch of sketches I did from photos taken at figure painting class held outdoors. My Thoroughbred stallion "Sunny" was one of the models. The Basenji is from a sketch of dogs playing made from a photo taken at my home. I combined the sketches in Photoshop and then colorized them. The color version is above, the sketch version is below.
 
Why a Basenji, not a Bouvier ? Well it was partly the color, but mostly that Godiva was an excentric and a rule breaker, so I figure she would be more compatible with a Basenji than with the more sober Bouvier.
