Texting VS Travel. Some in my family wish only for limited communication. Even talking virtually occasionally is out of the question. In their minds, taking a few minutes to talk takes too much time. Yet, a younger member will drive two hours one way To meet friends, or sometimes family, for an actual meeting. An older member who refuses, except for only an occasional text, Thinks nothing of attending a distant wedding. When it comes down to it, people today will meet face to face, If they feel the relationship is important enough to warrant the time, But a five minute occasional 'catching up' is too time consuming.
