Respair. An archaic 16th century English word has just reappeared! Grammatically, it is the direct opposite of despair, Using the 're'-prefix, indicating the return or restoration of hope. Unused for centuries, it is returning in its own right. Basically it describes 'finding optimism after difficult times.' In our times today, What a wonderful word to save for the proper moments. .
